NESA has 100 subsidised positions for the Certificate IV in Career Development available now

NESA is pleased to announce that 100 places in Certificate IV in Career Development positions  funded under the Enterprise Based Productivity Places Program (EBPPP) program have been awarded to NESA,  by the Community Services & Health Industry Skills Council.

As places are limited we are seeking your expressions of interest to take advantage of this subsidized accredited training for your existing workers.

The Qualification includes: 

Compulsory units 

CHCCAR501B:           Conduct career guidance interview

CHCCDP401B:           Deliver service consistent with a career development framework

CHCCDP402B:           Assist clients to plan and access career pathways

CHCCDP403B:           Analyse and apply education and training information

CHCCOM403A:          Use targeted communication skills to build relationships

CHCCS400A:             Work within a relevant legal and ethical framework

CHCCS407B:             Operate referral procedures

CHCCS411A:             Work effectively in the community sector

CHCES411A:              Collect, analyse and apply labour market information

CHCNET404A:           Facilitate links with other services

CHCORG405C:          Maintain an effective work environment

HLTHIR403B:             Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers

HLTOHS300A:           Contribute to OHS processes

Plus three elective units. Please refer to the attached DUALITY and Karingal Training brochures for the range of elective units available.

Note that units from the Certificate in Employment Services can be selected and dependent of unit completion participants may be eligible for a dual qualification.

Employer contributions for places are based on the size of the enterprise.  Enterprises with less than 100 employees the contribution will only be 10% or $500 per place.

In accordance to our contractual agreement with the Industry Skills Council, priority for places will be given to providers with less than 100 employees but it should be noted that all applications will be considered accordingly.

It should also be noted that all training places must  be  commenced  before 31 December 2010

The RTOs

NESA has contracted Duality and Karingal Training to deliver training under the EBPPP.  These training organisations have a history of working with the industry and NESA.  Various options are available for the delivery of training including on site (where there are sufficient participants), online self paced delivery and blended learning with a combination of self paced and face to face. The RTO's will provide you with Recognition for Prior Learning  and Credit Transfer instructions. Career Development and the Employment Services Professional Recognition framework (ESPRF)

By completing three specific units of competency contained the qualification, the Learner will  be  eligible to apply for registration under the NESA Employment Services Professional Recognition Framework.  It has been agreed that the Learners choosing the three units of competency will have the opportunity to complete them  early in the training. The three specific units of competency appear bolded in the RTO's brochures.

Call for your Expression of interest is open

This is a call for expressions  of interest for  the  EBPPP funded Certificate IV in Career Development positions. People  who  are employed but have not completed a  Certificate IV or higher qualification are eligible  to apply.

It is anticipated that these positions will fill quickly so if you wish to submit your expressions of interest, please complete  and return  the  Call for Expression of Interest form  as soon as possible .
