Training Australians to meet the
increased demand for skilled labour as the economy strengthens will
be the focus of the inaugural Critical Skills Investment Fund
(CSIF) Advisory Board.
Acting Prime Minister, Senator
Chris Evans, today announced that Mr Keith Spence, the current
Chair of the Western Australian State Training Board and member of
the Skills Australia Board, will chair the CSIF Board.
The Critical Skills Investment Fund
provides $200 million over four years for Australian Government
co-funding for industry partnerships to undertake projects that
provide training and employment opportunities in the resources,
construction, renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
