DEEWR's Monthly Leading Indicator
of Employment (Indicator) has risen for the eighth consecutive
month in December 2010. This confirms that employment can be
predicted to grow more quickly than its (revised) long-term trend
rate of 2.3 per cent per annum in coming months. Cyclical
employment has risen for thirteen consecutive months.
