DEEWR: Vacancy Report - September 2010

The Skilled Vacancy Index (SVI) (trend) increased by 0.1% in September 2010 to 46.2 (2007 = 100). Over the month, vacancies declined for Associate Professionals (down by 4.7%) and Professionals (down by 1.8%), while Trades increased by 1.0%. In annual terms, the SVI is 16.0% higher than in September 2009. Trades vacancies increased by 44.8% over the year, reflecting very strong growth for Metal Trades (up by 97.1%) and Construction Trades (up by 94.3%).
