Indicator Of Employment - January 2011 - Results
DEEWR's Monthly Leading Indicator of Employment
(Indicator) has remained broadly unchanged in January 2011, after a
revised fall in December 2010. This follows seven consecutive
monthly rises in the Indicator previously. It is too early to
confirm whether the pace of employment growth is likely to slow to
below its long term trend rate of 2.3 per cent per annum. Cyclical
employment has now risen for fourteen consecutive months.
