Description
The Department of Education, Employment & Workplace
Relations (DEEWR) is releasing a Request for Tender for the
provision of Australian Apprenticeships Support Services (AASS) in
all States and in the Australian Capital Territory from 1 July
2012.
Note: The Northern Territory is not included in this RFT. A
tender for the Northern Territory will be advertised
separately.
The Request for Tender will be for the provision of Australian
Apprenticeships Centres to provide services for those seeking to
engage Australian Apprentices or to take up an Australian
Apprenticeship as a career path.
Australian Apprenticeships Centres:
- Provide assistance to employers, Australian Apprentices and
training providers throughout the duration of the Australian
Apprenticeship which ends with the successful completion of the
Australian Apprenticeship
- Assist in meeting the Australian Government targets in relation
to Closing the Gap in Indigenous disadvantage
- Work with the State and Territory Training Authorities to
provide an integrated service
- Establish effective relationships with Job Services Australia
providers, Group Training Organisations, Registered Training
Organisations (RTOs), schools and community organisations
- Administer Australian Apprenticeships incentive payments to
employers and Australian Apprentices
- Market and promote Australian Apprenticeships in the local
area
RFT Information Sessions will be held in the following
cities:
Friday 4 November 2011 - Canberra
Monday 7 November 2011 - Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
Tuesday 8 November 2011 - Adelaide, Hobart and Townsville
Wednesday 9 November 2011 - Perth

Conditions for Participation
1. As detailed in clause 5.6 (employee entitlements) tenderers
must not have a judicial decision against them (not including a
decision under appeal) relating to unpaid employee entitlements and
have not paid the claim;
2. As detailed in clause 6.7 (consortia) bids from consortia
must clearly identify all members and clearly identify the lead
member;
3. Where the tenderer has an enterprise agreement made under the
Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) on or after 1 January 2010, the agreement
includes genuine dispute resolution procedures.
