DEEWR's Monthly Leading Indicator of Employment
(Indicator) has fallen for the third consecutive month in February
2011, after seven consecutive monthly rises previously. It is too
early to confirm that the pace of employment growth has slowed to
below its long-term trend rate of 2.3 per cent per annum, because
the Indicator has fallen for fewer than six consecutive months.
Cyclical employment has now risen for fifteen consecutive
months.
