Entries in the 2011 NESA Awards for Excellence close on Monday
18 July. Don't miss the opportunity to be recognised for your hard
work; or to nominate a colleague, former job seeker, or exceptional
employer.
Finalists receive return flights to the awards, overnight
accommodation, ticket to the pre-dinner Champion's Reception,
ticket to the gala awards dinner, national recognition and a framed
certificate.
If you nominate a job seeker who then becomes an Achiever of the
Year finalist, you'll also receive a return trip, overnight
accommodation, ticket to the Champion's Reception and the
dinner.
National winners also receive a prestigious, valuable NESA award
trophy and additional benefits.

Q: Who nominates someone for the Employment Consultant
of the Year award?
A: An employment consultant, or their NESA-member employer, can
nominate and complete the submission.
Q: Who is eligible to be nominated for the Employment
Consultant of the Year award?
A: The employment consultant must be employed by a NESA-member
organisation on the date that submissions close - Monday 18 July -
and have been delivering employment services (through JSA or DES)
throughout 2010.
Q: Who nominates someone for the Achiever of the Year
award?
A: An employment consultant, or employment services provider, can
complete the submission process for the Achiever of the Year award.
We strongly recommend that the former job seeker be encouraged to
participate in the nomination process.
Each finalist in this category, along with their Employment
Consultant, will be flown to Brisbane for the awards dinner - with
complementary flights, tickets and accommodation.
Q: Who is eligible to be nominated for the Achiever of
the Year award?
A: Job seekers who were unemployed as at 1 May 2010 and then found
employment through a NESA member before 31 May 2011 are
eligible.
Q: Who nominates a Champion Employer?
A: An employment consultant or the employment services provider
(with consent and assistance from the employer) can complete an
awards submission on behalf of a business.
Q: Who is eligible to be nominated for the Champion
Employer of the Year Award?
A: Employers that used employment services offered by a NESA
member in 2010 are eligible.
Q: Does it cost anything to enter the
awards?
A: No. Entry is free and the benefits are many. For example, all
finalists will receive a free return airfare to Brisbane, overnight
accommodation, and a free ticket to the VIP Champions Reception and
the Awards Dinner on Tuesday 9 August.
Q: Do submissions need to be sent, or received, by the
closing date?
A: Submissions must be received by the Awards Convenors, Awards
Absolute, no later than close-of-business on Monday 18 July. Since
submissions must be posted or couriered, ensure you allow enough
time for your entries to arrive. Awards Absolute are located in
Coolum, Queensland. Late entries can not be accepted.
Q: Will I get feedback from the judges?
A: Yes, each judge will make comments that may assist you in
recognising opportunities for personal or business improvement, or
recommendations for writing future award submissions. A copy of
this feedback will be mailed to you after the awards dinner.
