The House of Representatives
Standing Committee on Education and Employment will hear from
representatives of Beyondblue at a public hearing in Melbourne on
Friday 19 August. Beyondblue works to break down stigma associated
with depression and anxiety. These are the most prevalent mental
health disorders in Australia and are experienced by 1 in 3
Australians during their lifetime. The Committee will also take
evidence from representatives of the National Employment Services
Association, Lantern (Reach Out Employment), Occupational Therapy
Australia, Social Firms Australia and the Australian Psychological
Society.
