Government Opens Tenders To Successful Indigenous Jobs Program

More organisations will be able to access Indigenous Employment Program (IEP) funding to provide job and training opportunities for Indigenous Australians thanks to a new tender released today. Minister for Indigenous Employment and Economic Development Mark Arbib today announced the Australian Government's Indigenous Employment Program Panel membership would be expanded from 1 July next year.

To support the RFT, information sessions will be conducted in all capital cities and in Dubbo, Shepparton, Cairns and Alice Springs from 5-9 September 2011 (9.30 am to 12.30 pm). Dates and cities for the information sessions are as follows;

Monday 5 September 2011:  Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne
Tuesday 6 September 2011:  Adelaide, Cairns, Dubbo and Shepparton
Wednesday 7 September 2011:  Hobart and Perth
Thursday 8 September 2011:  Darwin
Friday 9 September 2011: Alice Springs. A LiveMeet will also be conducted at this time.
