Helping women exposed to homelessness and violence

Sixty women who are experiencing homelessness due to family violence or mental illness will benefit from the new Employment Program for Women project. Minister for Employment Participation, Kate Ellis, today announced that the Australian Government's Innovation Fund would provide almost $250,000 to deliver the project in the north and western metropolitan regions of Melbourne. Ms Ellis congratulated Australian Community Support Organisation and McAuley Community Services for Women for assisting women experiencing homelessness by developing pathways to meaningful employment through education, training and work experience.
