DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE
AND TRANSPORT SIGNS UP TO SUPPORT INDIGENOUS BUSINESS
The Department of Infrastructure
and Transport is the latest Commonwealth department to become a
member of the Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council
(AIMSC) and support certified Indigenous suppliers.
Minister for Infrastructure and
Transport Anthony Albanese and Minister for Indigenous Employment
and Economic Development Mark Arbib welcomed DAFF's commitment to
supporting Indigenous businesses.
"The Gillard Government is
committed to supporting Indigenous economic development and
providing access to Government procurement is one way we can do
that," Mr Albanese said.
