Panel expansion supports Indigenous job
growth
The Australian Government is expanding the operation of its $650
million Indigenous Employment Program by adding more than 200
organisations to its list of credentialled providers of Indigenous
employment and training services. Minister for Indigenous
Employment and Economic Development, Julie Collins MP, announced in
Bourke, NSW, today that membership of the two panels from which the
Government contracts service providers will increase from 441 to
664 members. "This expansion will result in a greater pool of
talent tendering to deliver employment programs for Indigenous
Australians and for businesses looking to employ Indigenous job
seekers," Ms Collins said. "Adding new talent to the IEP panels
will ensure employers and job seekers can access the best support
and services to meet their needs." Organisations become members of
the panels after being screened for due diligence and merit.
