| Description |
Disability employment is a key part of the Government's
disability reform agenda, to ensure people with disability have a
greater opportunity to actively participate in Australian society.
Disability Employment Services (DES) offers the platform to ensure
that everyone who is able to participate in the labour market has
the best opportunity and support to develop their skills and
confidence to find and keep a job.
The Government will invest over $3 billion over the next four
years in DES to increase workforce participation of people with
disability in the open labour market.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations
(DEEWR) has released the Request for Tender for Disability
Employment Services - Employment Support Service (DES-ESS)
2013-2018 for the purpose of contracting organisations to deliver
DES-ESS.

DEEWR will hold a series of public information sessions
nationally, including two online information sessions, from 4 June
2012. Call the Employment Services Purchasing Hotline on
1300 733 514 between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.00
pm (Canberra time) Monday to Friday or go to www.deewr.gov.au/esprocurement
to view session details and register for a session.
