Subsidised training to help your
workers be the best they can
NESA is delighted to announce that our extensive lobbying and
submissions for more Government support to help develop the
employment services industry workforce has paid dividends, with the
recent awarding of funding to assist members in up-skilling their
employees.
Providing professionally recognised training and qualifications
for your staff is an important way to reduce staff turnover,
enhance engagement, improve service delivery, and strengthen your
reputation and that of the industry. Members will be aware
that there is an erroneous perception in some quarters about the
levels of qualifications of the Industry's workforce. Securing
professionally recognised qualifications, specifically tailored for
your industry, will help address this perception.
We are delighted that the Department of Innovation, Industry,
Science and Research and Tertiary Education has funded NESA to
provide professional workforce training to members.
Training enables staff to qualify with the Certificate IV in
Employment Services and /or the Employment Services Skills sets
(see FAQ below for an explanation about skills sets) but staff
registrations must be secured by 1 June 2012.
