Policy Development

NESA is strongly focussed on the preparation and submission of policy position and papers. NESA consults extensively with members to ensure its policy work reflects both the diversity and convergence of views incorporated in papers and submissions.

Member Forums

NESA regularly consults with its members to represent and advocate their interests to government and other stakeholders. Consultative forums that provide opportunities for Corporate members to provide NESA with comprehensive feedback on issues and positions to inform representation and submissions to government, address specific concerns with departmental representatives, flesh out operational issues and offer strategic solutions include the NESA Reference and Working Groups, Policy, Systems and Practice Groups, Policy Think Tanks and the Leadership Forums.

Industry Procurement 

NESA provides a range of products and services for members through industry partnership arrangements with external suppliers.  NESA reviews products and services and offers those it believes provides quality and value for members.

Professional Development & Conferences/Events

NESA is commited to contribute to the provision of quality practice and the professional standing of the employment services industry.   Our professional development events include training events and conferences. All professional development events are open to members and non-members to attend.

Training Events - Utilising relationships with training organisations, NESA is able to offer a broad range of professional development options designed specifically for employment service industry professionals. Training available includes a range of accredited and non-accredited courses.

Conferences - NESA conducts two annual conferences and an international congress is held bi-annually. 

National Conference - This premier event has been designed to meet the needs of the industry leadership.  It offers a range of local and international speakers and the programme focusses on leadership, better practice,  strategic directions and contemporary issues facing the industry. 

Practitioners Conference - This event is designed for those at the frontline of employment services and is regarded by most practitioners and middle managers as a 'must attend' event.

International Congress - The Congress provides an opportunity for key Australian and international researchers and practitioners to share the latest research and innovative ideas.The next International Congress will be held in 2012.

NESA Awards for Excellence - NESA has conducted annual Industry Excellence Awards for the employment services industry since 2005.  These awards provide an opportunity to showcase the nature of the services delivered by the industry and the outcomes achieved by its clients.  Award categories honour participants, consultants, employers and teams.  The Awards are judged through a rigorous process by an external and independent panel.
