Practitioners
Conference
Since 2005, the annual
Practitioners Conference has been bringing together frontline
employment services professionals from all corners of the Nation
working across the range of employment services and programs.
The diversity of professionals working in
employment services and the breadth of skills and experience they
possess is complemented by the collegiate manner in which NESA
members approach and commit to professional, organisational and
industry development.
The Practitioners Conference is a success year
after year because of this demonstrated commitment to
the development of better practice for members as employment
service professionals, and their contribution to the success of
their organisations.
This event is open to
member and non member organisations and is regarded by most
practitioners in the industry as a 'must attend' event.
National Conference
NESA has conducted an Annual National
Conference since 1999. The principle target group for this
event are industry leaders. A range of middle management,
corporate services and frontline staff also attend. This
premier event offers a range of local and international speakers
and the programme focusses on the development of leadership
excellence.
Speakers and facilitators are regularly booked
by providers for ongoing organisational and staff development
following the conference. The success of this event is
measured by its continued growth in popularity with attendance
currently reaching 800 delegates. This event is open
and attended by both member and non member organisations and
external stakeholders.
2011 National
Conference sponsored by:
Working Communities International Congress -
Uniting to Improve Social and Economic
Participation
In 2008, NESA conducted its inaugural
International Conference for Workforce Participation and Social
Inclusion, and it received overwhelming support from the
industry. The calibre of international and national speakers
included world experts such as Dr Majora Carter (pictured

The 2010 International Congress was held in
partnership with the OECD Forum Programme in Melbourne,
Australia.
