We know the work of our members' changes peoples lives for the better and we are immensely proud to support and represent the organisations and individuals that deliver Australian employment and related services.

The work being undertaken by NESA members to provide effective employment and related assistance to job seekers and employers is critical to support the achievement of an inclusive society.

An inclusive society is one in which all Australians feel valued, and have the opportunity to participate fully in the life of our society and have the resources, opportunities and capability to:

  • Learn, by participating in education and training
  • Work, by participating in employment or voluntary work, including family and carer responsibilities
  • Engage, by connecting with people, using local services and participating in local civic, cultural and recreational activities and
  • Have a voice, in influencing decisions that affect them.

NESA members are at the forefront of initiatives to address social exclusion through assisting people who find themselves unemployed to find and keep work.  This includes providing employers with assistance to find and retain staff as well as to support the creation of employment opportunities and develop more inclusive workplaces.

Employment services are delivered by approximately 35,000 dedicated staff, with a diverse range of skills and professional credentials, who share a commitment to improving peoples' lives through creating opportunities for employment and inclusion.
