Professional Development

NESA works to achieve the ongoing development, professional capacity and increase recognition of the employment services industry and its personnel.

NESA works in partnership and collaboration with relevant bodies in the vocational, educational and training sector with regards to the development and implementation of relevant accredited training for the industry.

Training available includes a range of accredited and non accredited courses.  Employment Services Qualifications both from the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council and Business Services streams from certificate through to diploma level are offered.  A wide range of delivery options exist including recognition of prior learning, recognition of current competency, distance education, traineeship and class based training.

Utilising relationships with training organisations, NESA is also able to offer a broad range of professional development options designed specifically for employment service industry professionals.  NESA is able to influence the training available and ensure that it is tailored and responsive to specific needs and addresses identified issues faced by the industry.

An aim of NESA is to support our members with limited resources while providing excellent professional development opportunities. We do this by keeping the cost of our workshops competitive within the market place. NESA does not deliver workshops directly. Instead we contract subject experts to develop and deliver our workshops. Training Workshop

In this way NESA ensures that the workshop's content is contemporary and relevant. NESA members are regularly invited to provide suggestions for future workshop topics. This occurs in parallel to NESA responding to subject/topic areas often contained in the variety of government policy and employment services contacts that govern our industry.

NESA workshops are delivered from a centrally located venue in each capital city. These create a valuable opportunity to meet and bench mark (if you wish) with other NESA members working in the industry. The workshops are also available to be delivered in-house in your premises or if you prefer, conveniently located training facility close to your premises.

NESA members are invited to make contact with the NESA Professional Development Coordinator, Max Croft at the NESA office on 03 9686 3500  to discuss your training needs.
