Margie Gadd, the Principal of Barini Consulting has over 25 years of structured training and facilitation experience.

She has consulted to the Employment Services Industry for nine years and has an established reputation for developing learning solutions that change mindsets, develop skills, and transform workplace practices. Her deep sense of passion for changing hearts and minds and her commitment to best- practice in delivering employment services result in tangible training outcomes.

 

Cocoon Consulting

Jen Scantlebury has been working as an organisational development consultant, under the 'Cocoon Consulting' banner, for more than six years. Jen is passionate about change, and about assisting people at all levels of an organisation to engage with change and play a role in organisational development.

She believes that creative and workable solutions to workplace issues often come from unlikely stakeholders when an open, safe and curious environment is created and enjoys facilitating such spaces. Through her work, Jen inspires change and can deliver broadly appealing outcomes in complex and challenging environments.  She offers optimism, energy, an outcome-focus and an ability to forge solid partnerships with leaders and managers to enable effective and sustainable solutions.

The Cocoon focus is workplace change involving consultation, process development, facilitation and coaching to value-based organisations in the following key areas:

Organisational development and change projects, leadership and team development, HR management, strategic and team planning, leadership and management coaching and community consultation. 

Jen works largely within the community sector, and with some local and state government departments. She draws on experience as a senior HR manager and consultant in large and complex multi-site organisations, in small business, and in community-based organisations and specifically, has managed a Shillshare long ago.

Jen Scantlebury:

In the "early days", Jen was the manager of a large Skillshare that achieved a 75% employment rate for long-term unemployed clients. Jen then worked for the Department of Human Services (Victoria) and RMIT University, successfully managing numerous consultancy assignments to deliver organisational development outcomes. At the Department, Jen's assignments included the development of a five year HR strategy, major staffing restructures including career transitions, and numerous planning, leadership and team development projects. She also managed their tender processes and the resulting contracts.

At RMIT, Jen led the development of the University's Leadership Program, including 360 degree feedback and coaching; the development and implementation their Professional Development program, and the review of their recruitment strategy and associated processes. She led the development of the university's Performance Management suite, Managing Change, the Recruitment suite including Induction, Workforce planning and the development of a Capability framework, as well as managing their outplacement program and their significant career transition contract.

Darren John is the program coordinator and has been delivering training throughout Australia for the last 15 years within community sectors and is widely recognised.

Darren has an extensive background in social work and business and has been designing, facilitating and evaluating a vast range of group work practices for over 15 years. The majority of Darren's expertise has been gained from working with high risk clients in secure welfare settings with complex needs.

Odyssey House Victoria

NESA is pleased to offer training to employment service providers in conjunction with Odyssey House Victoria.

Established in 2001, their training arm Odyssey Institute provides quality accredited training across a range of subjects and are leaders in delivering online training to professionals in Alcohol and Other Drugs work (AOD) and related fields.

Dr Priscilla Yardley

Dr. Priscilla Yardley is the Senior Psychologist at Peninsula Community Mental Health Service and is the coordinator of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Group Programme run at the service for clients with severe Borderline Personality Disorder. She also provides training in basic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for general practitioners, mental health clinicians, and psychiatrists as well working in private practice part-time.  She is a strong advocate for training that equips health care providers with a practical psychological approach to the management of psychiatric disorders.
